We are very aware that we need to protect our members on long coach journeys to away matches and so we have decided with the advice of Horsemans coaches to ask everyone to wear a mask whilst on the coach.
The reasons are:
- It is a confined space
- Long journeys
- Long periods between stops (though we are scheduling extra stops)
- Respect for the worries of other passengers
- The air is recirculated especially in winter with the heating
We will continue to learn as we have more experience but feel we have to start with the maximum protection for our members.
We are aware it is no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask and that some people no longer wish to wear one, so if you prefer not to wear a mask please choose an alternative travel method.
If you are exempt from wearing a mask you will need to register when you book as you will not be allowed to board the coach without a mask or a registration.
It goes without saying do not travel if you feel unwell or suspect you might have Covid or have been instructed to self-isolate. Refunds/credits will be made without question as long as you inform us before the coach leaves
Travellers will be able to remove masks occasionally/briefly to eat and drink during the coach journey.
The coaches will still have a toilet but if you need to use it between the more frequent stops please use the wipes after use and dispose of them in the bin provided to prevent blocking the toilet and making it unusable for anyone else.
STAR will continue to review these Covid Guidelines/Conditions to reflect any changes in the severity of the pandemic and relevant legislation.
PLEASE RESPECT THE FEELINGS OF YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS WHO MAY BE VULNERABLE
