We’re modernising the way you join STAR or renew your membership.
Already 75% of our members join online. In order to make it easier for you and to save time, money and paper we’re going to move to a membership scheme that works almost entirely online via the membermojo platform.
Membership fees will stay the same as 20 years ago – £10 adults, £5 concessions – but one added benefit is that you now get 12 months membership from whenever you join, instead of membership just to the end of the current season.
Existing members will have received an email from STAR with a link to follow to renew membership for 2023-24 (and review/update any of your details), the quickest and easiest way to renew!
To join as a new member, simply go to https://membermojo.co.uk/star-reading/, fill in the form and pay online via Stripe, which accepts payment by any card, or you can use Apple Pay / Google Pay. You will then receive your membership card by email. This will be much more convenient than queueing to join at STAR Base or coming to STAR Base to pick up your membership card – and will save our volunteers a lot of time processing forms.
Another benefit is that you will be able to control your data, that is you can go online and amend your email, phone number or address without needing to contact STAR.
For the small proportion of supporters without a smartphone / payment card / email address we will offer a limited service for joining at STAR Base on match days.
For members using STAR coach travel a duplicate will be required and can be requested. It will be issued at STAR Base (only), at no cost. We will no longer be posting these duplicates. Over the coming season we will be actively pursuing ways to enable members to securely store/display the electronic membership card with the aim of further reducing the need for paper cards.
From 2024-25 onwards you will be able to renew with almost one click provided your details are unchanged and we’ll be able to alert by email when your STAR membership is about to expire.
