Reading FC Supporters Flag Competition
We considered delaying this competition due to the current situation at Reading FC. After a lot of careful consideration, we decided that things may continue like this for some time and endlessly delaying it would be of no benefit. By going ahead with the competition, it also reinforces our commitment to back the Team, not the Regime.
So, do you remember the flag that used to be carried around the SCL Stadium before kick-off?
Well, it is no more, so STAR is getting a new one! And we want YOUR help!
Are you a budding Banksy or a potential Picasso? Do you doodle or squiggle? Whatever your ability, we want YOU to design the new flag.
Your design should be rectangular as the final flag will be 12m by 9m – or 9m by 12m. You choose! Will you include hoops, 106, or Kingsley? It’s up to you, but it must relate to Reading FC in some way.
Words may be used, but we suggest it’s best to keep the design simple.
The flag is intended to last for five years so highly topical references are not appropriate.
The STAR Board will shortlist six entries, from which a winner will be chosen by Reading FC legends Noel Hunt and Jem Karacan. The flag will then be made in the winner’s design.
